Established in 2004, Zimele Technologies is a black-owned Information Technology (IT) company with headquarters in Cape Town and offices in the Eastern Cape and Gauteng provinces. With this far-reaching footprint, we are able to deliver IT consulting services to our national and regional clients, focusing on ERP implementations and support.
We know that IT has come to touch every part of a business. We also know that in an ever-changing environment, holistic and everlasting solutions are called for. We create such solutions by drawing on the expertise and experience of our consultants and through teamwork and the synergies that teamwork brings, unlock maximum value for our clients.
Zimele originated from a learnership programme, which sought to empower previously disadvantaged individuals by equipping them with marketable business and IT skills. With this principle of ongoing learning firmly entrenched, Zimele Technologies has experienced growth and market success from year to year - with our staff complement growing by over 30% and growing our client base from one client to four.
This is true to our African heritage: plant a seed in one season and harvest in another. Our ancestors taught us the art of effort, patience and delayed indulgence! It is this art that we share with our clients: to transform investments in people and technologies made today, into the competitive advantages of tomorrow
Hence our full name - Zimele Sonke - is taken from an ancient African proverb, that “it takes many beads to form a necklace”. In this way, bead by bead, we string together strong value-chains with our clients and partners to find IT solutions to today’s pressing business problems. We collaborate with our partners to meet our clients at the junction of IT and business – to maximise the underlying value potential of these technologies and our clients’ investment.

Similarly, Zimele has also attained official SAP partnership accreditation. This serves as further testimony to our ongoing drive to strengthen and deepen our bonds with partners and clients alike, and to continue to develop intimate knowledge of those technologies that matter to our clients. To further testify our strength in delivering quality service, the State Information Technology Services (SITA) accredited Zimele as one of the preferred services provider under tender 570.
Our Clients, Our Markets
Zimele Technologies offers services to various organisations and companies where ERP systems are used. Our target market ranges from large government institutions, medium to large corporate businesses, to academic institutions. Although our services are suitable to all clients that recognise the value potential of IT, we have long-standing engagements with companies in the public sector and in retail. These include the City of Cape Town, Costa Logistics, TSS, Pick ‘n Pay, SAB, DHL and UCS.
