About the Job
The Proposal and Pre-Sales Support Specialist plays a critical supporting role in driving Zimele Technologies’ growth strategy. This position focuses on preparing high-quality bid submissions, coordinating tender documentation, and developing compelling pre-sales content to support business development and client acquisition efforts.

Working closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams, the role helps position Zimele competitively in both public and private sector markets by ensuring timely, compliant, and persuasive proposal outputs.
Responsibilities, Knowledge & Skills Required
Tendering and RFP Management
- Analyse tender notices and RFPs to extract key requirements and deadlines
- Coordinate end-to-end tender response process including document compilation, formatting, and submission.
- Work with internal stakeholders to gather technical, pricing, and legal content.
- Ensure alignment with Zimele’s brand, quality, and compliance standards.

Pre-Sales Contentm Development
- Design and maintain reusable pre-sales assets such as presentations, capability documents, solution briefs, and case studies.
- Assist in tailoring demo scripts and proposal narratives to customer pain points.
- Maintain and update the content library for use by the entire organisation.

Market Research Support
- Conduct background research on clients, competitors, and industry trends relevant to each bid.
- Gather insights to support value proposition development and pitch strategy.

Collaboration &Reporting
- Work closely with the Bid Office and Sales team for alignment on bid strategy.
- Maintain a live tracker of active and submitted bids.
- Prepare weekly reports on submission progress, outcomes, and lessons learned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Required
Education
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field.

SAP Knowledge(Desirable)
- Familiarity with SAP solutions and terminology will be an advantage.

Tendering Knowledge
- Experience in tender response processes (preferably in the technology, public sector, or consulting space).

Skills
- Excellent writing and editing skills
- Attention to detail and compliance
- Graphic and layout skills for document preparation (PPT, Word)
- Strong coordination and planning abilities
- Familiarity with proposal portals such as eTenders, National Treasury, etc.

Software
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), Adobe Acrobat. Canva or InDesign is an advantage, use of AI
